The adult reception is part of the department for individual and family support.

The unit targets a broad audience and includes adult reception (social psychiatry, disabilities, harmful use, and addiction) and reception for financial assistance, but also includes eviction prevention work, budget and debt counseling, and housing coordination. The unit consists of a total of 14 employees and a unit manager.

With us, you will have an important job that can truly make a difference! We are located in the district administration's headquarters, situated right by the Björkhagen subway station and the beautiful Nacka Nature Reserve. Parking is available a few hundred meters from the office.

Your role

We are looking for someone who wants a stimulating and varied job where you have a significant opportunity to contribute to the development and improvement of the operations. You have a good ability to meet the needs of clients and want to contribute to a reception characterized by accessibility, good service, and positive interactions with the residents of the district.

The adult team within the unit is responsible for receiving reports and applications in the areas of disabilities, social psychiatry, and addiction. Another important task of the team is the eviction prevention work, where we have ambitious goals for the district. The adult team collaborates closely with other operational areas, and when necessary, we work in a team-based or family-oriented manner. The adult reception consists of three social workers and is a stable and highly experienced workgroup where vacancies rarely arise.

The Skarpnäck District Administration places great value on ensuring that our residents encounter a cohesive social service and works from a family-oriented approach with a holistic view of each individual and family. To achieve this, you must have a good ability to collaborate with other actors both internally and externally and possess strong analytical skills and a curious attitude.

Your skills and experience

It is a requirement that you have a degree in social work and have experience in public authority operations within one of the areas of disabilities, social psychiatry, or harmful use and addiction.

If you have previous experience in reception work and/or financial assistance, we consider it an advantage. Experience with the city's system Paraplyet is also advantageous.
